Easter 2020

I spent a lot of my life believing that following Jesus was holding me back, believing that the Bible had too many rules and infringed upon the fun life I wanted. I never renounced my faith, I simply put it on the side burner, taking charge of life myself and living the best I could. Except, I found myself all over the place, ultimately empty and unsatisfied. I had so many great things but nothing was measuring up. So I started with the basics and began reading my Bible and attending church, and piece by piece gave my life over to Christ.

As I celebrate Easter this weekend, I specifically celebrate life. I celebrate the life of my savior, who conquered death and lives again, and I also celebrate the abundance of life that following him has brought me – life to the full here on earth and the promise of life for eternity in the kingdom of heaven.
